As the day comes to a close and night approaches, I find myself pondering. How is it possible to compare something so destructive with something so inspiring. When we ask a person, "What sets you on Fire?" we are inquiring about what their dreams are and what are their passions. I find it interesting because in reality when we consider the literal definition. We are discussing destruction, something that will be lost forever, a literal chemical change in the molecular structure of an object that can never change back.
My thoughts are reaching towards the topic because I am engulfed in both definitions. As I lie awake at night trying to sleep for the few hours I have left in my 24 hour cycle, I am prolonged in my wrest by the smell of ash and smoke. 2,000 acres of land scorching lies 15 miles from me. The amount of damage being done is unfathomable. Destruction of the wild life, the poison rising in the air, the lives and homes being put on the line as heroes descend a plethora of water from the skies. So many have suffered from this and my love and prayers are with them all.
Now to describe everything else going on in life as we try to breath through smoke infested air in all of Orange County. The best way to start is to ask you... the reader. Why did you get up this morning? Why? And What are you going to do with yourself once you have completed your day? Now, did you enjoy the trials and tribulations of the day along with the productivity and accomplishments? I hope somewhere in these questions you are starting to think and realize why you do what you do every day because at the end of it all there must be a goal.
