Ladies and Gentlemen, you may be asking yourself what the above sequence is pertaining too. You might think its a sport, or a dance, maybe even a family reunion. However, it is not!
The above sequence is none other than my job at UPS. I am what you would call a splitter, I make sure the right packages get to the right belt so the right loader can put them into the left car. Now what was to fallow was agonizing. I am splitting like I always do and I am pushing and shoving the packages in the correct direction and when ever I get a little break I always stretch out my back. So I did the first time and it felt great and I even was able to crack it a bit too. So then the loads get a little heavier and I am getting soar quicker and the next moment I had a break, well I fixed my back once more........PING!
Now mind you, you might think its as easy as pie to just stop what you are doing and report it right? Well two huge key things play into this part. A- It was theoretically my fault due to the fact that I was stretching and not splitting during the incident. But more importantly it happened on our 90th day of working safe............ At UPS, when the entire building goes 90 days safe, We get a huge, free, and fun filled Barbeque! There is no way I am risking that barbeque on some minor little injury.
So I get home and right away my back is getting worse and now I am in a pinch, (pun intended). I have a performance tonight and I am not even well enough to go to my second job. So I do what I can only do in this situation and that is too think fast! Some of you may know that I am a doTERRA wellness advocate, (see projects tab for more info on that) and when you are a wellness advocate you can become certified in aroma touch. I quickly call my upline to get one of these aroma touch massage. Oh my gosh I felt SOOOO much better, then later on I had a Deep Blue back rub and I felt amazing.
So we get to the theatre and quickly a start talking to the cast to edit a few things because my back might feel better but it is still damaged. Fortunately we are all professionals and we changed what was needed and like I said in the beginning, the show must go on! There are two more weekends of "Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum at Stage Door Repertory Theater over in Anaheim, CA. Come see it :D !
